UPDATES ON SCHOOL

Renovation and expansion of the Cedropampa Public School was launched in 2004 and completed in 2010. The additional teachers that were hired by Cooperu, Inc. have now been officially hired by the Peruvian Public School System. The school provides education for approximately 130 to 150 students ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. A secondary school for those children who wish to continue their education is located in a nearby town.

UPDATES ON MEDICAL POST

In 2007/2008 we completed the first floor of the medical post with two sick rooms, treatment rooms, pharmacy and a laboratory that enables the staff to treat thousands of patients in the region.

Renovation and expansion of the medical post was launched in 2006 and completed in 2010. Before the expansion the medical post had no sick rooms, no laboratory and was managed by one nurse. Patients that had to stay overnight had to sleep on a bench located outside of the small building. After the expansion the post now has three sick rooms, three full time nurses, a laboratory and an apartment for physicians (doctors, dentists) who come for days at a time.
