Don’t take our word for it, see what our customers are saying:

Every cup is wonderful!

I’ve been a customer at Cafe Monte Alto for a long time, back to when I taught at Plymouth State and lived in nearby Holderness. Now, having moved from wonderful New Hampshire back to Massachusetts, I’m a mail-order customer. And a constant one. When I go to my vacation home in Florida, I order Monte Alto Peruvian Dark Roast. A few years ago I was fortunate to spend a month in rural France, writing my latest novel, and took a pound of Monte Alto in my suitcase. Boy, did it smell good when I opened it! Every cup tastes and smells wonderful, and it is consistent in every respects, attesting to the quality roasting process. I just ordered four pounds of my beloved Peruvian Dark Roast and a pound of Caracolillo. My gratitude is overflowing for you, Monte Alto!”

Always Good!

Sharing coffee shop with Chase Street Market allows us to eat good food with great coffee. Some of my friends rave on Chi and other teas but I stay a coffee addict!” ~ Betty T.

Super personable staff, great prices, and awesome drinks. Definitely worth a stop  ~ Abigail C.

Often imitated but never duplicated!

I first came to Plymouth 3 years ago and stopped at Monte Alto for an iced vanilla chai… Since that moment, I have searched the US for a similar Chai, and could never find one as authentic, delicious or pleasing!  ~ DK J.

The Real Deal!

Great coffee served by nice folks. Not a chain! Owned and operated by a family that’s been in the roasting business for generations.”
